This is no ordinary Van Zandt set.
The neck and middle are the SUPER RARE Fullertone series that W.L. Van Zandt wired right before he passed in 1997.
The Middle Pickup is Reverse Wound.
These where purchased from Performance Guitar - Los Angeles in 1999.
Legend has it they are made from the same wire used to rewind SRV's Number One, the wire is no longer made.
No doubt they sound great - Basically a 50's overwound. 3D with bite and warmth.
The Bridge is the overwound Rock model. Lots of output with more clarity than most at this level.

1965 Gibson Tal Farlow508 viewsThis guitar is in mint condition, beautiful Viceroy Brown color. The tailpiece is nickel but the pickup covers are bridge are chrome, so it is an early 1965. Plays beautifully and looks great! I put lighter strings on it (10's) and to my ears it sounds much better than having heavier strings for jazz on it.
