VAN ZANDT FULLERTONE SET WITH ROCK BRIDGE476 viewsVan Zandt Strat Pickup Set with FULLERTONE and ROCK blend

This is no ordinary Van Zandt set.
The neck and middle are the SUPER RARE Fullertone series that W.L. Van Zandt wired right before he passed in 1997.
The Middle Pickup is Reverse Wound.
These where purchased from Performance Guitar - Los Angeles in 1999.

Legend has it they are made from the same wire used to rewind SRV's Number One, the wire is no longer made.

No doubt they sound great - Basically a 50's overwound. 3D with bite and warmth.

The Bridge is the overwound Rock model. Lots of output with more clarity than most at this level.

ROBIN 1982 CATALOG474 viewsOne of the original boutique guitar companies filling the void left by the major companies, Texas born Robin guitars began in 1982, and this was their first catalog from that first year. Their line at the time was limited to Strat-shaped instruments, including the bound, maple-topped, humbucker-equipped RV-1 and RV-2, as well as the RH-1, RH-2, RG-50, RG-80 and RG-100 models. This four-page (including cover) color catalog has some small drops of something or other on it, a tiny tear and a couple of small pin holes and is otherwise in good shape. It comes with the Robin order form and two-page info sheet that accompanied it when it was handed out at the Jan.1983 NAMM show.
